P.D. Eastman Celebration
Today we celebrate children’s author P.D. Eastman, creator of “Are You My Mother?” and “Go, Dog, Go!” among other classic titles, born on this date in 1909. Eastman, who died in 1986, met Theodore “Dr. Seuss” Geisel in World War II and later published books under the Dr. Seuss brand at Random House.
