April 21, 1836, Sam Houston and the Texian Army defeated Santa Anna at San Jacinto and won independence for the Republic of Texas. The Sons of the Republic of Texas will celebrate this great victory with a dinner at the Potpourri House in Tyler at 6:30 PM. This is a state holiday so salute the Lone Star state in your own way and Honor the Texas Flag.
